Futurism

Italian Art movement, in the early 20th century and the aim was to capture the dynamism and energy of the modern world. There was a sense of denutiation of the past.

Dada

Born from the negative reactions of the World War I. It was a movement of European avant-garde art and had the aim to destroy the traditional values in art and to create a new art to replace the old.

Actionism

 Actions that highlight the acts of violence of humanity. Those actions were deliberately shocking, often including self-torture.

Performance Art

Artworks that are created through actions performed by the artist or other participants, which may be live or recorded, spontaneous or scripted.

L

L i v e  A r t

The term live art refers to performances or events usually innovative and exploratory in nature.

Research other Manifestos that exists within Dance History. Think about how did they influenced the artists' works?

Write your own Manifesto. Then start to think if you have to present it in a performative way, how would you do it?

We will use other classes as a start to create your physical manifesto.
